if you can get 2-shotted by a mob in an exp pt your in over your head to begin with lol
and if you can get 2-shotted by a mob anyway you wont have time get out a heal + your 200 hp cure wont make a big difference anyway

but they could easy just add back in sub jobs to fix that just like they did in ffxi
I never said it was 2 hits. Say the tank has ~3 mobs on him, they AoE sporadically. There's an add on you, additionally. Specific enough now to make my point?
They're different games. Embrace change and don't beat it till you've tried it.
meh the 200 hp your lnc's cure will give you will still be too feeble to keep you alive if this is the case anyway if you are getting hit by 3 aoe and ur own mob. But thats beside the point. Specific enough for you?
I knew I needed my flame shields for this post lol
So much fuss
*you're
Also, jobs are advanced versions of a class that doesn't let you mingle abilities, but gives you new, more niche and group-beneficial spells, so that way everyone can stop running around with Sentinel in order to survive.
I'm not flaming you, I'm trying to make you see the main difference between jobs and classes on an easily-understood parameter: HP. Also, I don't know about you, but my cure heals for about 580 HP. Add in a Second Wind and that's over 1k HP healed in a few seconds.
I am fine with the system as it sound, I prefer 14 class/job over 7 and as class=/=jobs ppl will have the choose to specialize themselves or play the all-round (not all round but can do a bit more of other thing) class in pt, work good both way
I have to agree with answa and theve. We already have "masterclasses", only in FF they are called jobs. We have an armory system. I find the armory system appealing. I like the idea that now that I have invested my time leveling CNJ, that I get the benefit of using the transferable abilities/spells that I earned with my time. I enjoy having base classes, and the jobs seem to be headed in the right direction.
Sorry, but I just disagree with the OP. As the OP mentioned making the jobs an advanced version of the classes, well, I see that happening soon enough. Once more jobs are added to the point in which we have 2+ jobs per class, I am certain 1 will be an extension of the class. The other will perhaps be more like bards relationship is to archer.
