Ok that's just wrong
this 'bastion' already fell ages ago. The latest arrangement CD as well as the symphony orchestra BD came with 2 bonus scrolls each, aka "oh noez, I have to spend x money on those CDs if I want the scrolls"
It seems the meaning of optional items is lost on people these days.
And for the record...the music is kick-ass...so bugger off. (Now If they would stop charging so much for their CD's...ugh)
Need Moar Music!
PS: That typo (pricing) - wow....tell me someone reported that.
I wouldn't mind if it wasn't character locked.
What this just boils down to, at least to me and I'm not saying or implying that they're right to do this at all, but I would much rather spend the $2.39 on a song that I can take with me wherever I go and listen to as opposed towards one that gets played inside my virtual dollhouse in-game. At least, that's what this speaks to me. Anyone can see that the MP3 download is a much better deal than an orchestrion scroll that's only usable inside of the game. I believe that's why they're priced so differently too. While one thing has a greater amount of flexibility, the other thing doesn't.
Again, don't agree with the practice outright, but I believe that's where they were going with it. The MP3 is a lower costs since essentially you can download it once, have it forever, and play it on a myriad of devices. The orchestrion is tied to your in-game house or FC forever and that's the only place you can listen to it (granted no one shuts the song off after every time you leave either).
That's just a standard price for a single MP3 and I think the orchestrion scrolls were always $5.00, no?
I'm going to get hell for this, but why is it ok to do this just because it happened before?
Pretty soon were going to see 24man raid tokens in the Mogstation.
And I remember those saying, years back when the Cas$ $shop was added " Stop being that pessimistic ! it's just past events stuff, they'll never put anything exclusive in it !"
At this point, I couldn't care less about the rolls. They're optional variations on existing, obtainable music and SE gonna money grub. I'm more annoyed that they've needlessly put on a piece of furniture there's absolutely no reason couldn't have been a crafting recipe of Canal drop, because they know Moogles are popular with their target demographic and want yet more $$$.
I don't mind them putting rolls and housing items on the mog station but they are atrociously overpriced.
