I'd bet anything that eventually they'll announce the elimination of classes, and reworking the job system, to include skills that were provided by those classes.

would make more sense if the classes were balanced = to each other and jobs were focused roles. as is now glad is not capable of DD cause it is an obvious tank. why not make glad have lower defense and raise damage output.

people keep saying class is solo and job is party. sure tahts what they said it would be, but is it true,idk. classes ability to solo should be even imo. thats what would make the job system more special.

If anything would make me quit, this would be it.

I don't understand how class = solo and job = group? If I unlock a job wouldn't that make my solo even better? After lv.30 everyone will have jobs, there's no doubt about that, so to say class = solo and job = group is dumb, class = pre 30 class+job = post 30.

Lol why? They're going to get to a point where the armory system is just going to keep them from making the jobs that people want. So you can either stick with the armory system which is really just a huge limitation on the game, or you can move past it and create all of the jobs/skills that you can imagine, without being forced to say "oh well, this job uses a sword so it'll have to come from gladiator" and since all of gld's skills are based on damage and hate mitigation all of those jobs will be mitigating damage and hate.

No because if you get your job as drg yo will do awsome damage but will not have any defensive or cure skills, making you useless to solo, this will applie to pld, it will tank like a champ but dd will be to low, make exp per hour veeeeery slow, and whm will just heal and heal forever without killing anything. Im ok with the jobs. Im just wondering how the plan to keep classes alive

Ok so i see your main class on your info is a cnj... it's pretty decent for soloing correct i know it's not the greatest but you can solo. You still have your Aero and Stone spells. Now if you go an unlock whm (this is purely spec at this point in time since I don't know what spells the whm is going to have) and you don't have those spells anymore. your main concentration is healing healing healing. You really can't solo very well you're mainly with parties so you can get your levels. That's how for some that soloing on class is better than job. Same could go with blm yeah you have all the nuking power in the world but when you're getting attacked you won't have the chance to survive due to lack of healing spells.

Again this at this point in time it is just a speculation but it is a possibility unless they allow the blm to have access to the class abilities that you already have also . *shrugs* Just one way it they might do it.

Thats were the requirement for to classes to unlock a job comes handy, like gla can use daggers and pug does dual wield dmg, get this 2 to 30 and you can unlock thf using gla daggers and pgl maneuverability.

Simple. I'm a fan of what the armory system gives us. If they were to butcher it and restrict us even further, I want no part of what will remain.
