All Greed on Alliance loot

Did not watch the letter. Does this only apply if you use the roulette or is this a blanket thing? Maybe if you queue specifically for them you can still Need? So is it to stop people running the roulette from taking gear from people that are actually there for the loot and low ilvl? Rabanastre is in there and that is still current gear so turning that into all greed makes no sense.

This makes it even more harder to get loot. What is SE thinking.

I'm in the camp that if you want gear on a certain role, play as that role.

I think this is a better solution. Allow the token (like the Rabanastran Coin) to be used to buy the gears, but only after the next patch/alliance raid drops.

Eh, it's a good move, not players can play their best job without having to use a lesser IL job to get the piece they want.

Now Tanks/Healers can go as Tank/healers but lot on another piece of gear they want.

The change encourages players to go as the job they want rather than the job they need.

So the ppl who are maining those jobs get penalized because someone who doesn't want to play it gets it??? That's not fair.

I don't mind this change. It's catch up gear and our main jobs aren't going to need it. If loot is still going to be restricted to 1/week then people are still going to carefully consider which piece to roll on while making the run faster by running as their main job.

People have said in the past that the solution to people Need rolling for seals when you need something for an upgrade, is to ask the party to pass on the items you want. If it worked then, it will work now.

I feel like there must be some detail that was lost in translation or not mentioned...

but I am going to die a little inside if I am healing an alliance and I lose on a piece of healer gear to a dps I raised 10 times just because I'm not allowed to Need anymore.

I really hope they don't bring that on savage raid. It's already hard for me to get my healer item against the other healer. If now ppl outside my job could greed it...I will just get super upset.
Since it's weekly anyway and you see that the item popped isn't from your job but it's that or nothing...who would not greed on it?
