Gathering is great, especially if you gather items that sell often. Alumen for level 20 miner is a pretty good example...
Low level crafting gear can be a decent seller as well.
Alternatively, the lootboxes from Eureka have been giving me a shit ton of materia, which sell quickly and for a decent price. Could try that as well.
Signing up for duty roulette as a tank when they are in need (almost always) can give cracked clusters, which can be exchanged for materia VI. Which sell for a lot.

Crafting/gathering is a given, but since you obviously don't want to do that, (and I don't blame you... I hate leveling DoL/DoH) your best bet is treasure hunting.

Fishing makes a ton of money. From what I have seen materia only makes money the beginning of a new raid patch.

Most of my money is made in small bursts and come from a collective of things, not just one specific craft.

The best way to make gill is to have multiple ways and income of gill.

* Retainers - always have your retainers out getting stuff. sell the stuff.
* Hunts (SB hunts) - for cracked clusters.
* Treasure maps for loot.
* sell GC stuff
* low level crafting - example - silver ingots (GLD) ; Dye
* low level gathering - silver ore (miner)

What sells good if your a level 70 miner. I need to make some big Gil for a possible server change. I’ve tried farming some of the lower level ores but they stopped selling quickly.

Daily Stuff to keep the cash flowing:

1. Roulettes as adventurer in need
2. Retainer ventures --> sell what they bring back (can hit it big on this). The jet black dye alone sells for 600k on my server. Some other items such as the crafted primal weapons sell for a boatload as well

Other ways to make gil.

1. Clear demi materia III, which is easily obtained in Eureka, sells for 5k to a VENDOR (people are stupid enough to MB this, so dont). The Grade II sells for 1k, and grade I sells for 200g. Can EASILY make 500k/week doing this.

2. Materia farming, as you said. On a tuesday, throw up a PF for Factal Continuum speed runs to cap mendacity. Just MB any tier 6 materia u get. On my server the Vs dont sell high anymore. So I vender them also

3. Seph sap from Sephirot EX. Currently 4m on Famfrit

You can only take 1 mil with you so if anything you want to stock up and investigate the market of the new server you are going to. Then sell those over there.
