Individual housing still sucks

Yup can confirm A LOT of open plots here on our server.

That is not an easy solution, merely an obvious one.
The way their code is built, it is probably not easy at all to make wards dynamic - at least not without a total rewrite of the housing system which, together with the database changes needed to make it work, would likely introduce an amazing number of new bugs and no small chance of people losing their houses and/or housing items.

As always, people with no idea about programming, much less FFXIV code, throw around "easy" solutions. Do you assume SE is full of morons that haven't considered those and many more different options?

They did well with the apartments. Apartments are added when needed without adding a new one to each apartment building in each ward in each district. They don't need to rewrite the housing system, they could've add a second housing system on top, just like they did with the apartment system.

Actually I'm studying business informatics. Within all the years they could've already fixed the problem with the coding. I highly doubt that SE is really full of morons which aren't capable of finding a good solution within a decade. More likely MMORPGs are getting less popular in general, including FFXIV, even SE knows that, so they don't want to invest additional time and money.
