5.0 job skills, what we want and what we want to fix

Please just remove Protect already. It's button bloat at best, and a waste of a slot at worst. Just increase Def/MDef across the board, or have it as a permanent buff while in instances.

Also change Secret of the Lily II to something else or make it useful. It's so utterly useless.

Make Esuna baseline.

Remove Break.

Buff Cleric Stance.

Increase Plenary Indulgence duration to like 30 seconds or something. 10 seconds is pathetic.

Buff Selene in some way.

Buff Army's Peon. Like Hyomin said, it's pointless after you max the procs.

Posted this in a thread once before. Removed the 74 skill which would have been an AOE heal regen (550 potency total over 18 seconds with high MP and cure III radius.) If they did get a heal, instead of more AOE, I think I would want it to be a long duration single target regen. Something like 30 seconds, so that it can be used during times of invulnerability to give RDM something to use in place of vercure to heal upcoming damage when the boss is target-able.

Red Mage is a quirky utility support DPS with a very straight forward mechanic. Get to 80/80 and melee combo. I wanted to expand on this system, while adding more support options and focusing on Single Target upgrades opposed to the AOE route. Adjustments at a lower level could change that.

78- Ability- Equipoise: Can only be used when under the effect of Impact, Verstone, or Verfire. Removes each of the status effects. Black and White mana gained equal to the spell procs consumed. Upon completion, If White mana is lower, Verstone is procced and if Black is lower VerFire and Equal, Impact is procced. Damage dealt proportionate to procs consumed.

1 Proc= 150 potency.
2 Proc= 250 potency.
3 Proc= 400 potency.
Ability cd 30 seconds Physical damage.

Really want the last spell if only for the name. It would have a large amount of utility, having to reach 100-92, and 88-80 in order to Holy/Flare -> Verbatim without unbalancing your mana.

On the subject of new skills, for PLD.

Burning light - an Offensive use for Oath gauge uses 80 Oath, PLD self buff allows for 2 new actions in place of RoH, CoS and RA,

RoH becomes something like Heavens Cut wherein target deals less damage for 5 seconds.

RA would be Kings might, simply a high potency hit with a built in speed buff for PLD (yay auto attack)

CoS becomes Grand Cross, DoT + HoT for it's duration. (Hooray for mass trash pulls)

Also GIVE PLD A GAP CLOSER

I think that before think on faster combats, they should work on reducing the lag. I saw cases where the ping went from 70ms to 240ms when the NA server went away from Canada. 240ms is playable, but it give some gimmicks, such as being caught by Landslide despite dodging the aoe.

I thought 4.0 would have more patches after 4.5, potentially extending this expansion's duration till the next one. I really can't find the source at the moment.

Around the corner? Try bit over a year. Summer 2019 is a possible release window if we go back on HW and SB.

While I'm honestly a bit 'meh' on the rest this one seems like a really cool spell with an even cooler name ;).

If ninja doesn't get to summon an ice tiger like the NPC can do at the end of their story quest, I'm going to be very disappointed.

I just really, really, really want to be a Beastmaster already. Let me tame them and train my little furry, scaled and feathered legion!
