There is no mechanism for it's ability to fly. Not even a magic aura or something showing its flying due to magic. It just suddenly shoots up into the sky and starts stomping around. I dunno its a neat looking mount, but that one inconsistency throws me off wanting to use it. I'm really looking forward to the bird mount at rank 8.

Just as crazy as riding a cloud.

I'm yet to get my elephant today, it will be fun playing stampedes with them during hunts!...

It's sad thought, that SE makes all beast tribe mounts incredibly plain, they should give them some unique special effects like different types of glowing colors plus particles when they are flying, just like the Primal falcons from Heavensward!...

Yeah i too when first doing a quest with the mount was like ... this is kind of lame a flying elephant, lol
i still will be getting the mount though

How do you get one?

I'd rather have a flying Goobbue

I'm a little bitter that we still don't have the ability to fly on the ARR Primal mounts...but things like the turtle and elephant mount can fly...
