Tenacity once again, whats the numbers?

So i believe determination is my way to go for DRK so far.
Since i cant see tenacity increasing my Life drain from Soul eater and abyssal drain, with determination i will hate more MP and lifesteal.
Im pretty sure tenacity healing attribute doesnt work on life drain at all.

While my memory is a tad bad, Im fairly sure people tested it, and it does, but since its such a small difference, same with DET, you're not likely to notice. Though id say the life steal should almost be close to DET with TEN, since its 75% the DPS of DET, + the boost to self healing. (It will still be short, but the gap is less than the gap in DPS)

But lifesdrain is the same as the damage dealt, so i dont think so its working on it.
Dealing X damage with lifedrain ability should grant you X + Y health with tenacity, but that doesnt happen.

Nah my bad sorry for misleading, lifedrain is not equal to the damage, and tested it with 300 tenacity difference, it is working on the life drain.

I guess tenacity is not all that bad afterall.

Its self heals. Ones YOU cast like clemency. Its just like Det. Det increases damage you do and heals you cast on a whm. Tenacity does the same thing. Increases your personal damage, increases your outgoing personal heals, but also decreses damage taken. It does all of these things at the same rate (lower damage and heal increase than det). You gear it if you want passive mitigation. The heal bonus is just as strong as the damage it provides, which are both just weaker versions of det.

I would say that the priority for DRK right now is:

STR > DH > CH or Det >Ten for standard comps or if you want to share your gear with PLD.

STR > CH> Det > DH > Ten for CH comps or if you want to share your gear with WAR.

Dont' forget that a massive amount of your Tenacity is coming from your gear naturally. I'm of the opinion that if you're going to get into melding you should focus on increasing your offensive capabilities rather than your defensive potential as the game already does a really good job of making sure that you can clear content provided that your gear is up to date.

Personally I like to have enough Skill Speed that I feel "comfortable"; SKS makes tank classes much easier to play. Easier Enmity rotations, faster MP/Resource regeneration, more HOLY/CLEAVE/DARKNESS spam. Then I just go really liberal with Direct Hit and Critical Hit. I flip flop on which I prefer; I like the consistency of Direct Hit, at the same time I play a Paladin, so I really like how a Critical Clemency often means I don't need to use another Clemency. I also *really* like a Direct Hit Critical, so I won't just fully favor one over the other.

I'll meld for SKS first until I get to the number I want, and then if I'm going to get into over-melding territory it will be with DH and Crit. I don't meld for determination/tenacity at all.

Isnt holy spirit spell? Spell speed affect holy spirit, not skill speed.

I think i will go with this :

STR > DET > TEN > DH

Simply because i dont believe in the RNGesus, and want a proper and stable numbers.

I only tank for fun in pf group or to help friends, so before anything my tank gear is always subpar compared to someone who main a tank and would have higher ilv, more armor, more mitigation.
I'm personaly full Tenacity and I usually end up MT. I do see a difference and even friend healing me see it.

It saved my life quite a few times, the few % don't seem to do that much but in the end, they do. Over the course of a fight that's a lot of health bar your healer didn't have to heal (not that tankheal is remotely taxing in the mp department)

I don't think boss hurt enough to make it really interesting for any serious group.
It's also useless when off tanking (something that should be adressed)

I would only recommend Tenacity if you're not confident into your ability as a tank when it comes to doing proper mitigation or when you have low ilv until you get better geared and if you mostly do pf. (It saved my life sooooo many times) And especially if you intend to MT whenever possible. Because the stat is useless when not tanking.

Ah let me elaborate real quick: More Skill speed means you are using Riot Blade more often which means your MP regeneration is higher. More MP, More Holy Spirit/Clemency. Occasionally I can pop one outside of Requiescat because otherwise I just have MP chilling in my bar.

I joke that Paladin has a secret fourth combo called "our healer is dead, our dps is dead, oh god everyone is dead" where you just use Fast Blade > Riot Blade to quickly recover mana to spam Clemency in a vain attempt to stay alive. It works.
