Suggestion - 5th Housing Ward - Ishgard

They should just keep adding new housing districts to cities that don’t have them. That way they can all grow populations, and the housing crisis will forever be averted. I want to see Ala Mhigo, and Ishgard for sure.

Well story wise they can't be too bad with funds, since they are a part of the united force shown now within the game. As far as the not-so-friendly invitations, the other wards are strictly for adventurers; which is who have been coming to Ishgard in the first place, so we're already 'known' to them.

Well Ishgard itself is built on some sort of mountain jutting out of the sea of clouds so we can put the ward on another mountain nearby, funded by adventurers desperate to pay Ishgard gil for some place cold to live. Maybe throw in a farm area with plants from Sea of Clouds or something. I know the botany quest line involved breeding plants that could flourish in Coerthas i think, but I can't remember the specifics.

From memory, one of the major reasons they withheld Ishgard housing was due to the snow. They found it too difficult to figure out how to do the yards with the constant winter.

Oh man I would LOVE Ala Mhigan housing.

I was disappointed they never brought in Ishgard. I don't think I would move there. I love Lavender Beds, but still. I would love it in game.

Ishgard should have been before Shirogane. A lot of people wanted it and asked for it. While Shirogane is nice, they totally missed a great opportunity with Ishgard housing wards.

Based on the current state of Ishgard by the end of Heavensward I would agree a housing district would not be ideal. However, no law says we can't re-visit Ishgard in a later expansion. Ishgard was helped, but is not ignored even now. So yes, perhaps someday Ishgard will get a housing district added.

As for Coerthas being uninhabitable, the Ishgardians seem to be getting by fine. Besides, Ishgard would provide the first housing district with a northern setting full of snow and stuff.

I'm pretty certain the original HW MSQ heavily implied that Idyllshire was going to be the next housing ward, or just next to it in that vast open forest area that can be seen down below and behind it from the cliffs. Then... nothing..

I really wanted Ishgard housing. Like, I don't currently have a house, but if I did, I'd relocate to Ishgard instantly. The Ishgardian architecture is really cool, no pun intended.
