The potency change isn't why I'm thinking nerf. IR no longer getting any bonus from Litany/Strategem, IR not lining up with TA windows since it's now 90 seconds and losing the flat damage buff on Zerk in favor of the Crit/DH hits doesn't seem so good. We'll see, since it will certainly be tested.

EDIT: It's 90 seconds, so every third IR will still hit, my mistake.

It is on a 90 second cooldown. Should line up with every other TA window. Not sure where the 80 seconds thing is coming from.

I get that it doesn’t line up with raid buffs, what I don’t know is if that is significant enough to make a net negative.

Yep, I corrected that error.

But the biggest "we'll see" for me is that I'm not sure guaranteed Critical/DH going to top a 30% flat buff on top of the chance to Crit/DH during the window.

These changes will actually make me play WAR more since I was a pleb that sucked at 4.0 WAR rotation but I don't think it's a buff.

It's a nerf to overall damage dealt as was DRK losing so much stuff that made DRK at Sormblood launch....

Yoshi-P should cater not only to new player but to already existing playerbase.... Playing DRK makes me feel like Vergil Story Mode in the crappy Devil May Cry reboot game rather than feeling like Dante from Devil May Cry 3/4 or at least Nero from Devil May Cry 4

Again, we'll need to carefully map out the changes but here is what I'm thinking:
All they have done is swapped the multipliers for damage and lowered them slightly
Before: You were buffed 1.8018 multiplier on your damage with an expected multiplier of 1.275 to either crit, direct hit, or both. Effectively: 2.297295 multiplier depending on RNG
After: You are buffed by 1.2705 multiplier on your damage with an multiplier of 1.75 (minimum) to direct crit and a 1.04 multiplier to adjust the fell cleave potency to 520. Effectively: 2.31231 multiplier (minimum) not depending on RNG

However, there are benefits not captured by this:
1. The new windows are 10 seconds, not 20 seconds, which means your burst has also become more concentrated into 10 seconds. Meaning you are also gaining GCDs
2. The new windows do not cost guage, meaning all your prior buff windows still exist (except for IR half cost) meaning more fell cleaves overall.
3. Unhooking Infuriate from Berserk means you can now use the Infuriate trait to generate extra guage (popping Infuriate before the new IR results in a 30 second reduction in cooldown) 5 from the IR window and 1 from popping Infuriate.

In addition to the changes outlined in the op, I would say they would need to do a few other things at least.
- Decrease the recast of Shadow Wall to 120s.
- Get rid of the Grit stance requirement for the heal from Soul Eater.
- Make the MP regain from Syphon Strike out of Grit to be the same as when in Grit.
- Do SOMETHING with Sole Survivor so it is actually useful, like making it a burst heal equivalent to Clemency or Equilibrium.

Those things plus what you said I would consider the minimum to addressing DRK, at least for now. I still feel it needs a serious overhaul to make it feel better to play and not so slapdash of a kit after the SB changes.

I would like these things as well!

The more I think about it the more I would like to see SE avoid doing simple potency buffs to increase DRK dps and instead drop Delerium's recast to 60s while increasing BW time by 10s and BP time by 15s; then also dropping the recast for BW and BP to 30s.

The whole 80s/40s thing is weird considering how most buffs and buff windows have times that are based around 60s intervals or multiples of.

Also, it would make it more fun imo.

Agreed these changes are the things we desperately needed while the changes to Drk this patch help they're so minuscule in the grand scheme of things as SE changed so much with the tanks instead of making them all at the levels they should be, they're not.
