I remember attending an actual FFXI wedding, was one of the strangest things I've ever been to. It was incredibly fun, though, because we were constantly making fun of the corny dialogue in LS chat.

it was pretty cool in XI that you could choose the location and ceremony style as well, each nation had its own traditions ^~^
wouldn't mind if they bring that back

This was discussed back in Tanaka's day. I believe that weddings were on the table, as well as same sex marriages (I believe it was stated in an eorzeapedia interview).

some people talk that bad idea cos you dont know if you marry a guy or a girl. Why you marry someone you dont know in person in the first place??? lol.
My im a guy and i play a female mithra cos looking to a guy but while running not interested and i like my wife name so i made a character with her name but she decide for the character :)
and she will play too and will make a male character with my name and we will marry in the game.
We want it alot :D
