FFxiv Capes.Cloaks.Wings,Ties new uses for the Necklace Slot

I think it's cool. I don't care if it's clipped or has no physics (even sitting), I'm sick of glamouring bling necklaces to emperor set (earrings too).

Jeeze, no wings especially please. This is not a tacky, pay-to-win Chinese/Korean MMO. Not a fan of capes.

.....Okay, if capes were nicely implemented, they could be OK, but I think they'd largely be tacky.

Well, it did not take long for some of the usual suspects to show up to shoot down an idea aimed at increasing the amount and the variety of male glamour...even though they themselves do not even play a male character as their main.

If the development team can design an entire system around putting flowers in a character's hair then I'm pretty sure they can figure out a way to make things like ties, capes and cloaks work too. They already did something new with the Redbill Scarf, after all. The development team also specifically asked for ideas as to how to improve character customisation, so this thread is certainly a step in the right direction.

Flowers don't require physics, special meshes, and attach points. Capes and cloaks would.

Besides, how would you deal with gear that already has a cloak/cape? or a side cape or butt cape? redundant capes?

There's already gear with cape/cloaks in-game. They look pretty good as far as I'm concerned - and with tweaks there's no reason why a lot of similar glamour options could not be implemented.

Honestly, every time they add a new chestpiece with a cape of some sort attached i sigh. the only way I would want them to make capes a neck accessory is if they went back and removed every cape on every piece of gear.

Wanted to make my char look like Rider from the game Furi :(

I would like to equip diamond gear without the cape.
+1 to move it to the necklace slot.

But capes and cloaks would serve to expand glamours quite a bit.
