Louisiana here and having the same issue multiple times a day since I resubbed about a week ago. Hope whatever is causing it can get sorted out since it's caused a number of wipes already and I can't play like this.
Thank you for posting FrogDog,
We recommend creating your own thread so we can assist you in a more direct manner.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope we can assist you in enjoying Final Fantasy XIV.
I am getting the same issue but it only seems to happen during peak hours...
oh wow, after all these years, im surprised to finally see responses about this.
(of course ive lived in different cities/states, with different ISPs, different PCs/systems etc, and the issue has always been around.)
Most common when switching zones. There is also no lag, as my friends right next to me playing will also be going or DCed at a different time, and we can see that there's no delay from our actions all the way up to the error.
game just likes to boot u randomly w/o any warning, or seemingly any reason (like i said, i can see my friend moving on his screen and mine, with no issues when the kick happens)
but yeah, i was almost going to respond with "This will never get SE to respond" for as long as its been going on all these years.
Hi Mods, again, this is not an issue with our connection, but an issue on your side. This happens to specific people, and repeatedly. I don't know if you've somehow marked some people (maybe people on trial?) to be kicked out of the server when it's getting unstable, but this is definitely not an isolated issue, nor is it a local issue on our end.
This issue is ruining my experience alot, and I am getting highly discouraged to sub to the game because of this.
It has been a plague since I returned. I did everything Ariellendera suggested.
I also did a DNS flush. My internet is also quite speedy, so I don't think it's from my modem. I made certain of it.
I have lost a LB3 bar because of this and had interruptions in more difficult content too. I have tried every measure, as much as I could.
The other people in my house do not have an issue with being booted from their own games which are different than XIV.
Hello
Will everyone who is currently getting 90002 errors please post, when you started getting the error and how often you receive it. I know that some of you have already posted this information but, I am asking again in preparation to escalate. I appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for playing Final Fantasy XIV!
I started getting 9002 and 9006 errors between 10:00 am - 10:30 am CST. I was playing at around 5:00 am this morning and did not have any issues.
I receive the 9002 and 9006 errors anytime that I go into an instance. Dungeon, deltascape, 24-man raids, I get booted from them all. If I don't go into an instance, I do not get booted.
Please read to the end, to fully understand where the issue actually is, Ariellendera. (Not saying you wouldnt, but I've never met a GM who ever actually has. They see the 1st line or 2, and make up a completely unrelated assumption of what I'm trying to tell them.)
Not an exaggeration, but the issue has been since the launch of 2.0
ISP/systems, and what not, were always different.
(PS3, PS4, 4 different PCs, and different PS4s, different states/cities, etc. Unlikely to have a major effect on the cause of the problem.)
The most common way to get it, is when the game "zones" you.
But some things are treated as zoning, such as being raised, being relocated if everyone wipes, if someone leaves the instance group before opening a chest, kicking you out of rolling on loot, and putting the weekly restriction on you in savage while doing so.
There is no visible hiccup in internet connection, just the game THINKING there's a hiccup.
(The way to notice this, is when you actually are DCing, everyone sits still, actions dont go off, and text in the chat log doesnt update)
Me and 2 roomates can be in the same room, playing together, and when we zone, 50% of the time, one of us DCs getting the error.
On a rare occasion it happens w/o zoning.
We see our actions on eachothers screens, our LS/FC chat updating constantly, no hiccups, and then BAM, black screen.
And the other 2 people are still online, looking at the DC symbol appear above my/their head, 3 seconds after the actual DC.
We figured, maybe it was the wire or the system.
But I eventually let a friend of mine play on my PC, as I was playing my own account on my PC. (I used the controller, as he used the keyboard)
Its the same wire/internet/PC.
literally if I had 2 WoW accounts up, and something happened to the internet, both windows would be effected by the problem.
But with 2 FFXIV accounts up, unless I have real internet problems, the errors ONLY happen to one account/character during the zoning.
Never both (nor anyone else in the house)
Aka, there IS something wrong with how the servers check to see if you're still there.
They think you've lost connection, when you havent.
(They behave completely differently when i actually do lose connection)
