Buying Crystals With Paypal now requires Credit card

Hm I have Paypal attached to my bank account, but I've only used my debit card to buy Crysta and that has worked fine

I'm confused. My mate has been buying crysta point thru PayPal by using his credit card for years.... What has changed?

I think the issue is that you HAVE to have a credit card now, but before you didn't(if I'm understanding correctly...I've only ever bought Crysta through the Mogstation with my CC).

Though I haven't used PayPal in years(had fraud happen with it, and never went back), what I remember is having my bank account connected to it so I didn't need to use a CC to pay, it just came straight out of my account.

Maybe, but it wouldn't be SE's fault then. That would be a PayPal restriction.

What? That's how I paid my sub.......

So wait, as long as you have a credit card on your paypal account, even if you use a bank account to transfer funds, you can still buy crysta right?

My account got recovered within a few days after they closed it because of a charge back. Just contacted customer support (and payed my bill).


Also I was able to buy Crysta with Paypal (have only normal giro account attached to paypal, no credit card).

If you haven't overlooked something and it truly is the case that you need a card: Cant you just get a pre-paid /pre-load credit debit card from a newsagent or post office to use?

Sounds like it, if it truely changed.
I also always used my CC on paypal whenever i've bought Crysta (which i havnt the past 2 years).
Idk, sounds like OP havn't done his/her homework on the matter and yell at SE for some change that might happened on Paypal end?
