Anyone choose their main...

Played BRD as my main for the longest time in 2.0, started to gear up to raid, FC leader had a mental breakdown at the time and quit after my ps3 died, no glamour back then although the BRD AF set was nice.

After playing and stopping so many times over the years nothing really is my main as it changes to whatever I happen to play for that week or whatever I happen to be leveling.

Considering making the switch to warrior because I love the look of the first 3 stages of their anima weapon (The ones after awoken Parashu) by far some of the best looking axes in the game.

When I was just starting the game and literally knew zero about anything I chose conjurer as my starting class because I thought the preview of the level 50 gear looked really cute on my little Lalafell. I ended up setting it aside though because healing was stressful for me.

In 1.0, I had 2 characters; male Lala, female Miqo (no male option in 1.0) because Nobuo Uematsu, when asked what race he would pick if he were to play he said Miqo.

So I never deleted either character over the years, and somewhere during the patches between HW and SB, I switched from my Lala main to my Miqo, and went on to make so much more progress on the Miqo that she became my main, and all because I just liked having more glamour options that I liked.

Not gunna lie Hyomin, that Aoidos set is sexy as hell and so is the AF3 gear. If SMN did not exist, I would probably main BRD just because they got style.

Job’s core mechanics must be considered first.
Glamours can come later.

Not fighting class. But I definetly chose Leatherworker simply for its lvl 50 gear a few years back. :p Now I'm thinking of getting Blacksmith to 50 for the same purposes. ;)

Not really.
I started off as a CNJ/WHM and just rolled with it for the entirety of my ARR and HW career because I enjoyed healing.
For SB, I decided I wanted to main MNK because it was my fallback class when I didn't feel like healing, so I'd already knew the role well enough that it shouldn't have been that big a deal, although I did feel a bit of regret after playing thru level 60-70 and getting 4 years of muscle memory shit on with Riddle of Fire and the loss of Touch of Death and Fracture but I still play it.

Glamours for WHM were never anything special, apart from the ARR Relic, but the gear itself was very meh to look at. MNK has been hit or miss. AF1 and AF3 gear was decent but AF2 gear was just god awful.

Not my main, but my secondary class surely. I'm even leveling BRD right now because while I like MCH, BRD at present seems more my speed with the changes they made. The sweet sweet siren song of glamour has nothing to do with it I swear... It's totally not my top reason for leveling that class. Nope, not at all.

I also initially didn't level SCH just so I could have both healer AND magic DPS glim glams. Nope. Not me.

I don't have an alt since I can simply play all classes on one character, obtain one set of glamour items, and mostly keep things centralized. So all I have is a main.
