I'm more bothered by the fact that having too many clickable items near each other causes some to go invisible.
How can I ever hope to make my Apartment into an all-you-can-eat buffet when food will go invisible if they continue adding more?!

500-600 would be ideal and fix the problem that half of the items that can be clicked disappear.
In my small house I easily nearly reached cap both inside and outside. The outside is capped. The inside has about 10-15 free spots which I am trying to keep free in case a retainer brings me something cool or there is an event item that I want to put out.
I could easily most likely hit the another 100 pieces placed with everything I put into it.
So yeah. Don't think any size has enough place able spots.
I would like to see 600 for a large personally. The item limit in my opinion should be 200/400/600 for each size. There is so much more i could do in my large but just don't have anymore slots. I have no clue how they did it before.
Yeah I'm in favor of this too.
I also reached 400/400 in my large house recently, and my room in the FC house is at 84/100. I wouldn't mind an increase in capacity again. However...
I would really like to see this addressed too. I've tried to strategically place items around my large so that pop-in will most occur outside the player's view, but it's definitely severely limited some of my design choices.
A couple of things I've wondered about in regards to that...
A major issue I had initially was with the new wallpaper partitions. I thought they were fun, and put a lot of them up around my house. This created a lot of pop-in issues eventually, so I've swapped out a majority of them for Blank Partitions instead. I've noticed that dyeable objects that aren't "intractable", like the Blank Partition, don't seem to be an issue. Perhaps it's less convenient, but maybe changing the wallpaper application to a submenu in the housing menu, similar to applying dyes, would make these items technically "non-interactable" and allow for easier use of the item since they won't count towards the "interactable" item limit anymore.
Also food decorations. I also removed all food items from my house, as I placed them for decoration specifically, not necessarily to be used. It's left my dining room area pretty vacant though... Perhaps an "interactable" toggle in the item placement menu could help with that, if it actually makes the items no longer count towards the draw limit.
I like the idea having an option to turn on/of specific clickable items to in the house such as portraits, food and partitions. I myself I only use food for decoration and portraits only need to be "clickable" when I'm changing the paintings. I would be more inclined to use custom partitions if they didn't take up a active item slot.
Cap increase to yards would be awesome. For a small, 20 item slots is just hard to work with. There ends up being several bare spots that would benefit from something simple like one more bush. I always end up reaching my limit and realizing i’ll need bigger items to fill the space, but that using the large yard items available will ruin the effect I was going for.
