Thanks. I used Heat of Battle 2. I think there's a bug with it or I don't understand EXP scaling for level difference. In my 50-60 stretch I would often get a +23%. It might have been exp chain related but I dunno. Is there a guide or something that helps break down the bonus?
Well 3% of that will be food, 10% the HoB2 buff. The other 10% I'm not sure about though as I can't think of anything else that gives exactly 10% (and still stacks with the company action).
I don't if it helps, but if you're doing content that syncs you down to the appropriate level, things like the "Brand-New Ring" and "Ala Mhigan Earrings" will work as before and give you extra exp per kill, even if your actual level would be above the limit if you weren't synced.
I appreciate all the leveling tips, everyone! Putting that aside, wouldnt it be beneficial though if we could allocate exp? If not, Why? Only thing i could imagine is that players wouldn't be good at their jobs that they allocate to.. It's just.. The thought of doing BLM after SMN fills me with dread.. I also want to tackle MCH because the flame thrower looks fun lol.
I do not think this would be a good idea. If you queue as a job you should be rewarded for playing that job. The current system imo is fine and there are alternatives to level grinding then dungeons via pvp battlegrounds, fates and POTD along with possible quests you might have skipped.
Yeah I agree with the other ways of getting exp and I actively pursue those routes, also I'm not saying a person shouldn't get rewarded for running dungeons on the job they choose to play with. Just saying it would be nice if we could take advantage of quick ques as a tank and be able to put those exp points into other jobs if we want to. Maybe this is something that could be unlocked or stock piled when doing Roulettes that offer EXP as a maxed level job and then you can allot it to a job you have trouble getting in the que with. It was just an idea. :)
Yoshida commented on distributing exp to jobs that you aren't even playing. He doesn't like the idea, saying it defeats the point of job exp.
Just do fates while you wait on dungeon queues. You can even solo fate bosses as a dps if you bring a chocobo and potions. I got all jobs to lv70 no problem this way. There are also exp bonus fates, and forlorn maidens for an additional bonus that stacks with the other bonus.
If you've done absolutely all of your dailies and your queue still hasn't popped (which might be a data center or maybe time of day thing, but I've never had this happen even as dps,) then there is still the challenge log to do. Lots of stuff in there that will help you kill time and several of them reward decent chunks of xp as well.
