Zone types you want to see in the future.

More psychedelic fantasy areas. Like Sea in FFXI, or the moon in FFIV. Deltascape is a pretty cool area that I wish there was more of.

Floating City and zone that's not just a bunch of broken up islands.

Enclosed or underground area kinda like the Orzammar and The Deep Roads in Dragon Age Origins.

The 2.0 areas that are still inaccessible.

I like the swamp idea. Would make for an awesome atmospheric place. In my opinion, they'd have to make the monsters there a little tougher to give that 'forbidden' feel, but that's just me. Love the ideas anyway! :D

There's no problem in taking things that work. That's how ARR was made. Just because we are fans of FFXIV, we don't have to act like MMO champion.

You. I like you. The more fantasy a zone, zthe more I like them. Sylphlands in ARR, Azys Lla in Heavensward and Ruby Sea in Stomrblood.

Agreed. It can't be a scary swamp if the monsters are not scary.

I’d enjoy a fully underground zone with multiple levels and questing hubs.

Also some deep ocean exploration, I mean we have the regular ocean stuff but it’s fairly common knowledge that the deeper underwater you go, the strange and bizarre the wildlife gets. Having a chance to do that and fight some of those bizarre creatures would be awesome.

This^^^ I was so excited when they first showed off Dimwold and then it turned out to be a tiny little portion of the map..

And I know it's been said 1,000 times since they killed 1.0 and it'll never happen but I want the world to feel dangerous again.. Back in 1.0 it was an actual adventure exploring the zones; One minute you're trekking along on your merry way the next you turn the corner and there is a monster that could easily one shot you.. But will it aggro?? Maybe if I walk very slow- Oh holy crap it's after me.

I'd like to see larger regions that you can't see across.

A zone that's just a bunch of tropical islands with jungles, caves, nice beaches etc. Preferrably (some) inslands being deserted or uninhabited. La Noscea doesn't really give me that feeling but Hullbreaker Isle kinda did.

Maybe a city ruins underwater, which you can get inside of.
