lol, yeah, people wouldnt have been pissed off, sure
thats why they were already raging over a 1 week delay
come on now, this is just rediculous
they announced how it would be done way ahead of time, they said 1.20 would come out, be out for a bit, then wed get billed, then 1.21 wouild come out shortly after
so they are doing exactly what they said they would do, and anyone who is suprirsed at this point in the game is extremely slow
People get angry and mad when the game is down because of natural diasters, you think they wont be angry over a 4 week extended delay? lmao, you really need to understand the XIV community is fragile and aggressive, when the servers were down for an hour longer maintenance that we was informed of than the usual 3hour, people raged, when the patch got delayed 1 and half days due to market ward issue, people raged.Get used to it tho lol
Also 1.20 was bait, Yoshi said it himself, he said "go play 1.20 and decide if its worth paying for or not", it was the bait, it doesnt matter if it was released or not. Do you stand by the river with maggots and say to the fish "these will be yours soon, so soon! look at tasty they look, could be yours!", no you dunk the maggots in and give them to the fish, then hook them in when they like what they see and go for it.
1.21 it's still planned for mid jenuary- beginning february. More probably the second part of the phrase, so it's better not expect a bait soon
I had thought they were suppose to start charging in late November/early December. Pretty much when the patch came out. 1.20 that is, but they moved it to the sixth. This was also well said with plenty of time in advance. I think they made the right decision myself. Let people get a taste of the patch and decide from there. I do think though if they wanted more people to stay 1.21 would have been good bait, but at the same time that is one month extra people are not paying for. So from a business point of view... I'm not sure which would have been the better choice.
