Rant about Shinryu Farm/Clear parties

I agree that a lot of the community is toxic but when you make a carbon copy of WoW, you kind of have to expect the same attitude from the players.

Toxic communities are not unique to mmorpgs at all. You just see what people are really like when they can hide behind an avatar. Play a lot of other multi-player genres and you'll see the same thing there. Some games and genres nurture it more than others but the fact remains that toxic people are impossible to avoid in online gaming.

By the way this game would have died if it was a copy of WoW. There is a reason why WoW-clone mmos died, because most people who want to play WoW will play WoW, not a poor copy masquerading as a new game.

Personally XIV was a large reason why I quit WoW. I fell in love with this game because it isn't WoW, it's just another great mmo that has a different take on the mmorpg genre. It just so happens SE's interpretation of what is a good mmorpg appeals to me more than Blizzard's.

This is the only real solution to your problem. Well, other than making friends to do this sort of thing with so you don't need the PF.

You atleast play tank. Getting group is easy for you. I have bis geared summoner and getting group is insanely hard with caster especially after summoner changes. Most players greed weapons anyway because most have genji weapon on main class. I have managed get one scholar globe with greed roll during 15 runs. After 10 runs you can buy your melee weapons anyway.

Lol well subtracting like 2 of your reasons since they just became options this patch it is a bit much for players who don’t raid since creation gear is expensive....i see no reason to even have above 320 since you can absolutely destroy this fight in minimum ilvl...

@OP unfortunately because of how bad people are they require some absurd ilvl like they do in savage

I wish they'd break the trend of making crafted tank accessories best in slot for DPS, because I'm essentially forced to get the 330/340 accessories just so I can get into these groups that require high ilvl.

I have a BiS Blm and haven't even been in yet, groups actively exclude Blm from pf groups because "meta".

Yeah, I've saw that before in ARR and HW but never in this scale. You need almost the minimum ilv of the weapon that drops to farm (or even clear/progress) the content.

Im tired to run this battle as tank. And please don't give me obvious answeers like "Do with your friends". This comunity is getting so toxic.

I think he meant the second tidal wave. Its week one people need to calm down with the ilvl nonsense. Also yeah it is pretty frustrating joining clear parties or final phase progression and people join and still don't know how to survive the first 2 mins. Is that fun for you to just waste people's time and after forcing that group to disband you immediately join another one and continue the cycle? Now that is why I am angry.

btw if you don't want to go as tank nor want to wait for your own group to be fill, there is nothing you can do.
It's not worst than usual. Atleast they are sure that you use your main to avoid sub dps (yet I have multiple 330+ but whatever)
