Understanding your limit break

One problem with PUGs is you are never really sure where you'll end up as far as mob size. I try to use LB but the rest of the group doesn't or can't always run things to take advantage of it.

Some advice on LBs in dungeons. Its actually better and saves more time to use an aoe limit break on trash mobs rather then the boss because using aoe on trash saves much more time then killing a boss 10 seconds faster.

To expand on this further, their range is 30y. The same as all of a healer's support skills. Basically, if you can't hit a person with a manual res or heal, healer LB won't hit them.

Thank you for adding on with the distance, I actually had 0 clue as to how far it reached. Just knew that 90% of the time I get it seen when the 24-man content is fresh, most people don't get hit by it.

That's true. I like to use it in Ala Mhigo for the trash between the two laser gates or between the 1st and 2nd bosses. Another place I like to use it is the trash between the 2nd and last boss of Kugane Castle but in all cases you need a tank and healer that can handle the load of getting to the LB location.

As a general rule of thumb - As long you blow the Limit Break before the second boss in one of the SB dungeons, you usually get enough charge back to have it full again on the last one.

Yes you can but if the tank and/or healer need to or make smaller pulls I rather just leave it be as its not going to save any time by using it.

This is why, when I have to use it, I book it to the middle of the arena before I do. Sure, I am more likely to die myself due to standing there watching the animation (Yay, animation lock), but I am more likely to hit more people that way.

In dungeons, if the other dps is a melee and the tank is doing large pulls then it's best if you use the limit break on trash. It speeds up the run far more than taking a few percentage on a boss with a melee limit break.

I've seen people lose their minds when a tank uses LB2 at 1% of a boss HP bar because it's "useless". neverminding the fact the boss would have died before any DPS LB would have gone off. I've even been personally yelled at because I dared to use Caster LB1 on trash mobs because I need to "save it for the melee on bosses".

well you did waste it on trash mobs -_- It is a bit of a waste. ever consider the tank may or may not been practicing for a large pull and surviving it? Communication goes a long way dude.

Lb is a group thing, not a solo player thing. wasting it is just that a waste, it is better served used on a boss.
