I strongly agree that nothing will be solved, because this idea is horrible. I would be quitting FFXIV altogether since the main reason I play is casual content with my FC friends.

The evidence is there for years (namely FFXIV housing subreddit), but the dev team chose to ignore it.

They wouldn't do anything about it either since it is outside of game and official forums, as trading outside of the game isn't against T&C directly.

Buyer posts on party finder or shouts etc do not get in trouble, instead, sellers do but they are often too smart (using previously mentioned external portals).

By the way, by sharing these screenshots, you may be banned/blocked from the housing reddit post instead of actually apprehending the house flipper. Unfortunately, this is only one of the many issues with the way SE is dealing with house flipping right now.

Oh, I don't care if I'm banned from it tbh. I don't really use reddit in the first place and the main reason I started going on again was to get screenshots. All is good! :)

well if your gonna make all houses 1 per account then theres no reason for 2 account types...so drop everyones account price $3 that has the 8 character accounts since now you have 1 character and 7 alts instead of 8 unique characters belevie it or not some people play there characters totaly differnt. I sure dont want my female character living in my males house its a mess

And love love love the attitude about the mathus people...it took them a year + i bet to get them houses .When they bought them there was still plenty of empty plots there...But as you said NOW that we moved here..there lets take them away cause we decided this will be the new rp server... lmao don't forget your tiki torchs when your march haha

Try putting in a resale timer on plots so once land is released the house dosen't go up forsale for say 1 to 7 days guess what you just killed personal house flipping..
Cause we all know in Business if you can't guarantee me the goods im not gonna buy from you...So if the flipper cant promise the land to the buyer who in therr right mind buys from them

And you might stop and think some of us multi house owners have owned these houses for years. and there was still 100's of empty plots..we didnt just up and buy the market out lol NO you came to where we are in most cases..it wasnt until you were unhappy with your sevrers that you came to ours and are now demanding we give up our multi lots cause u didn't like ur home server and wern't one of the first couple hundred to get a house...

How about we stop trying to find bandaid fixs and demand the problem of supply be met if you have 7500 characters on a server and 2,880 houses no matter how many multi houses u get rid of it wont help. your just trading one pissed off player for another...This is a multi million dollar company..who we pay every month i know i pay $26.99 a month plus mog station buys..if your gonna allow 7500 people on a server you damn well should supply 7500 + house on that server.. Stop trying to make excuses for SE and go after them to honestly fix the supply of houses

My idea is there should be one housing suggestion thread per forum. Did you really need to create a new thread giving the same ideas that were posted in the others?

Want to stop house flipping? Disable the ability to relinquish a house... but keep the auto-demolition... nobody is gonna hand over that much money and then have to wait 45 days for plot to open... especially when there is a chance they won't be online when the plot opens up...

1 personal and 1 fc per account doesn't fix the problem. Even if they went to one house per account period (which I agree with), there still wouldn't be enough houses to accommodate the population. These suggestions are just band-aids and we should be demanding fixes.
