Agreed. I wish they would have been able to follow LotRO's example for housing. One ward got filled, a new one was created. The neighborhoods weren't much different from the current ones we have, with non-instanced neighborhoods where people had TONS of stuff in their yards. Guild and personal housing, where large houses were locked to guild ownership only. If a game that was released 11 years ago can pull that off without issues, I don't see why this one can't, aside from the whole 'we save data twice as often' thing that always is thrown around.

The moving feature is not to blame for the lack of housing. You are just assuming that Free Company's who do move give their houses to friends, but it is not the cause all the time. The issue with housing is personal housing and accounts who have characters owning more than one house.

i got my house today thanks to relocation. It's perfectly fine

on any given server, with or without the moving feature there were 720 new homeowners today. the moving feature just allowed some of the new owners to have plots that were in places that weren't Shirogane.
