The launcher error fixes itself after a few times; right now PC users run into the issue where download speeds for the patch drop to 0.20 MB/s before completely crashing the download. PS4 users don’t seem to be having that issue, and it was the one I was referring to.

It doesn’t start at the beginning—starts around 200~300 MB downloaded for me before slowing to nothing. If I’m lucky, after rebooting after the crash sometimes I’m lucky enough for it to start off where it left off. But my download has restarted from 0 three times now, and this is my tenth crash.

Give it a few minutes. Nobody gets the error that soon that I know of.

After restarting the launcher several times, I was finally able to download it.

I will laugh if we ps4 users are going to be able to skate through and nab all of the land before the PC users can get on. Then I'll cry for my boyfriend, who's on PC, because he was so looking forward to getting a medium this patch.

Wait untill 500-700 mb. Then it crashed for me and many others.

I had been getting this error for almost 1 year. From 2015-16 I couldn't play this game because of this error. And now its back again. It seems SE is incapable of solving this after more than 4 years. I hate to say this but a 13 year old game called WoW runs flawlessly without any errors and its running on decade old tech. So why FFXIV thats running with new generation tech contains so many errors??
