New Dalamud event: Is Alfgar supposed to vanish after a few seconds or is it a bug?

Greetings once more.

I cannot confirm it 100%, but “The Lambs of Dalamud” event seems to happen more often now.

Yesterday I saw an adventuress I knew in Mistbeard Cove, and knowing her I had the feeling she was fishing in The Whale's Gape, meaning that the Aetherial Node appeared after 16.00 PM GMT.

After 17.00 PM GMT, like I suspected, Alfgar appeared again and thus the Node near the chocobo stables, sending me to Mistbeard Cove.
So the usual “2 straight runs” happened.

However, my Adventurer's Instinct told me to briefly check again the next hour... and strangely enough after 18.00 PM Milburh appeared again... and after 19.00 PM, too!

So a total of 4 straight runs happened in Limsa Lominsa and sent to Mistbeard Cove. I returned to Eorzea just a while ago, after 00.00 AM GMT... and Milburh was still there!

I cannot say if the event kept on happening even in those 5 hours I didn't check, but now she was there and stayed her usual 10 minutes before disappearing (at 00.13).


So again, even if there wasn't any official statement on this, it appears the devs listened to our requests and at least increased the frequency of the event. :)

If other adventurers also noticed this, more confirmations are always welcome. ;)


EDIT: Milburh also appared after 01.00 and 02.00 AM GMT, so I'm more than positive the frequency of the event indeed increased.

I got in and finally ended up in Sil'dih instead of Mistbeard, and the NPC that's supposed to be there wasn't there. And then I ended up running off that cliff of no return wondering if it was somewhere else. I did a search, and apparently not. I waited instead of sleeping and it didn't occur again. I feel so ripped off now.

I can confirm more frequent occurrences, already posted in the Quest sub-forum about it yesterday. Found the pop 5 (or was it 6 by the end?) hours in a row, and it was always to Mistbeard. Today when I logged in so far it's popped twice, both times to Copperbell. And all of this has been originating from Limsa Lominsa, Kashuan server.

I can only wonder if it's permanent now, at least until next patch or whenever they decide to stop it. I'm somewhat disappointed, but at the same time grateful. Despite my best efforts I hadn't managed to catch either event before this...

Aetherial gate always pop 6 times/days (3X2)

between 2-4h am GMT
between 14-16h pm GMT
between 17-19 pm GMT

AE pop in only 1 city each time

it's very easy to find the gate when you are 3 people for check in the three cities at the same time.

Yeah this is the strange part... It just happened to me and several others. We teleported in to the aqueduct and no NPC. Been standing here for awhile and still nothing has spawned. I wonder if the aqueduct one is bugged now.

EDIT: The NPC in the aqueduct is supposed to spawn right near where you teleport in at near the southeastern end of the aqueduct tunnel. Being that nothing has appeared here for you nor us I'm pretty sure it's bugged now unless SE's throwing in a twist to it... No idea. It'd suck if this happens in Mistbeard Cove, you'd be stuck down there unless you teleport out using anima or return. Unlike the aqueducts there's no way to get out without teleporting.

Does anyone know if this event is still happening?

As far as I am aware, no. I haven't see these npcs anywhere. I want to say this was the first round of 7th umbral era events, and the imperial invasion was the second. <-- (that btw is still going on).
