FFXIV is not Dyslexia friendly, can we at least get off "One exchange per lifetime"

Exactly. And sometimes I'm getting gear ready for when a class can equip it (so that once I hit that level, the gear is ready to go). So I will see that warning, even though I'm intending to buy it. The warning isn't foolproof, there are situations where you're intending to buy something you can't currently equip. So this is why I support the idea.

Stop speaking for the rest of the player base, also, stop acting like you know anything about resources and how much will cost this or that because you have no idea. Anything that reduces the amount of ticked created will save money, that's why Blizzard have an automated process to do it (included characters) and it's why SE only do it once. At the end of the line is Yoshida who decide how to use the money SE grant to the project.

Also, just "shooting" down other people suggestion (it's like a sport in this forums) won't increase the chances of SE working in something you like, UI doesn't have anything to do with PvE balance or the art team.

Yes, I've made mistakes, too (in WoW not here, so I was able to correct them without any hassle). I think a set period of time to get reimbursed wouldn't be a bad idea at all. FFXIV is rather punitive compared to other games in this respect.
While I appreciate Square cannot tailor the game to perfectly suit everybody, this is one QoL change that would potentially benefit everyone.

I have to say I found it really sad that the first comment was someone mocking the OP's disability (and even sadder that other people should 'like' it).

tip: count the letters in the name of a item if you wanna be so damn sure .. i mean "Quicktongue" = 11 "Quickarm" = 8.

Edit: hell you even get a second chance to make sure you are buying the right item as you needed to trade in the bolt.

Unfortunately, with conditions like dyslexia, that can still cause issues. From my experiences with people who have the condition, they've mentioned that the letters get jumbled up and don't make sense, so even casting/healing becomes some garbled mess. Though, usually, a coloured sheet of laminate over the text seems to work (don't know if always). Could be an idea for an accessibility option I guess? And it would make the pop-up windows plain boxes with black text and coloured background (user adjustable), as an accessibility option. If you're not using it, current UI remains.

The 2nd and 3rd points do seem consistent with what people have told me. So, I still think it could be a potential issue. Probably still worth looking into the possibility of extra accessibility options being implemented. Plus, we're all human, we will occasionally mess up from time to time. So the auto-refund thing would help alleviate some concerns. Of course, not everyone would be covered, but I still think it'd make a solid QoL addition.

Does she actually have deslyxia or is she using it as an excuse for rushing and not reading? It is a common thing for people to say oh I had a deslyxic moment when they don't actually suffer from deslyxia. And I also believe deslyxia is something else, factually, and not just mixing something up.

You are making an assumption that I am making an assumption. So whose assumption is worse? You insist I don't know anything but you have no true idea about what I do for work. So good for you.

Again they have other issues to worry about that WOULD involve the team that would have to deal with this QoL improvement that we do not NEED. QoLs are pretty much all non-needs which is why so many don't get implemented. They all ready had warning windows that pop up when you are about the buy the wrong thing and the game is easy enough that making a mistake isn't a big hurt cause you can just fix it easily enough anyway.

That doesn't mean I don't agree with the OP. I've made mistakes in purchasing as well due to similar naming and I don't have a learning disability, actually I read too fast...which causes its own problems. But I don't necessarily find an issue with the naming as much as maybe how they group them. I think they should highlight what you currently can equip. It's a small change and doesn't influence alot. Yes I know it tells you when you click on it you can't eqiup it but for impatient people, sometimes you just keep clicking.....As for Materia, they could definitely use a rename, but Im not expecting them to do that any time soon.
