Regarding Ixion Horn Drop Changes

The reason for the change is so that Lochs gets less stressed whenever Ixion pops up. If more people get the mount faster, less people will overcrowd the instance when he pops the next time. It has very little (if anything) to do with the rarity of the mount.

Every thing in this game is devalued. Literally everything. If you really think about it, your exactly in the same spot as you were in 2.0. Nothing and I mean nothing has value. The entire game is a rewrite on repeat with reskins followed by nerfs.

Odin and Behemoth have been 5 tokens per gold from the start, IIRC.

I saw a lot of people talking about how the zone was stressed in the patch notes thread and how this would help. There are 3 instances first off, they are rarely at full or near max capacity unless Ixion is alive at that time. Even if one instance is filled there is still 2 others that someone can use if they have no interest in Ixion. I really don't see why anything would need to be done further at this point.

The only thing is, with the rewards so plentiful, this special ixion fate will die out just like odin and behemoth in a few weeks.

I might actually try for this mount now, because the only time I tried was when everybody was claiming it was going to spawn within 5 hours so the entire server packed into The Lochs only to find out their math was off and it wouldn't spawn until the next day. I noped out of Ixion after that, no way was I going to try to do that 6 times to MAYBE get enough horns for him.

In addition, mounts are a more sought after thing in modern MMOs and often have a prestige associated with them.

Ixion, while many argue is not the most good looking mount it is very unique in comparison to the other available mounts. It only made sense that it should take you time and dedication to obtain.

Should been done sooner, it kept crashing the zone. As I said in a different thread, If you look at the big picture and long run, the change does not make it anymore common or rarer prenerf other then make it less annoying and attempt to have the zone not to crash from making the demand less.

I got 10 horns so far. Just one more then.

We are playing in a virtual world made of pixels and dream stuff. It had no value to begin with, other than what sentimental worth we assign to it ourselves.
