Black Mage!!
I have never liked playing as a caster in any of my previous MMO but something about BLM pulls me to play it more lol. Maybe it is because of their skill animation or the way I can teleport around in dungeons or trials :D

While im not going to abuse the word overpowered I will agree its very enjoyable to play.especially coming from a. Summoner. I hope SE doesnt get great class design confused with OPness and nerf the job to match the other shit tier jobs.they should really model the jobs that need help off this not the other way around. Im talking purley gameplay not dps btw
LNC/DRG for me. After playing this game off and on for the better part of 4 years, I finally took a good look at DRG as more than "I need to get this to 34 to get Blood for Blood."
Years of stigma gave me a hardline view towards DRG as the sterotypical lolDRG, but I'm having a lot of fun on this job. So much so that there is a part of me that is thinking of maining it for a while.
Redmage surprised me.
At first I thought that melee stuff will be dumb bullshit where I have to switch between range and melee all the time. But then I tried redmage on release and see: It still is a range caster and just has that short melee window which is a cool big burst. I really enjoy it this way and I enjoy to not have a fixed rotation. Instead I have a cool reactive play that is more similar to healing (was main healer before Stormblood).
RDM
It's not as strong as I thought nor as fun as I thought. It's not bad by any means but it's just a tad too simple to play. And I leveled one in case my static wanted me to bring it over BLM but I think BLM still beats out most of the time with raw dps alone.
BLM changes in 4.0.5 did not seem like they would add much to the class but it actually feels much more smooth to play now and got a nice damage boost too.
Positive sort of surprise: HW Bard, Samurai (more like a Monk than a SB Monk).
Negative sort of surprise: Enochian "made easier" for SB BLM, RDM
BLM: in HW I stopped playing because I just couldn't keep up with enochain/umbral/astral stack and the rapidly moving bosses and mechanics and maintaing dps was just too much for me personally.
The SB changes have been amazing besides the fact of nerfing fire IV and what not but I feel like I can keep up now even though there are still some drastic downsides when having to move a lot but at least you won't loose enochain :)
Red Mage is... surprisingly holding my interest. With how easy the general gameplay of it is, at least so far, as well as it being a mage (with a few sword skills) I thought it would have been a turn off. The concept of the class intrigued me, but given the simple rotations/system of it... Suffice it to say, I've been enjoying it so far.
I wouldn't go saying I'd plan on it being my main as of yet, since I've yet to even hit 60 on it, but it's looking like something I'll be keeping up with at least.
I feel like I was more dissapointed in the 2 classes I hoped to be surprised by. (Dragoon & Summoner. Coz those are the 2 classes I played the most in HW)
But i'm pleasantly surprised by Red Mage & Black mage so far.
