I'd love more side-plots for the Scion characters, but as SE seems unwilling even to give core NPCs any more than stock animations and our dialogue options amount to precisely nothing beyond the next text block, I doubt it would be satisfying enough to warrant the reduced efficiency compared to developing just the one path through only whatever character content SE has determined to be most worth designing.

Edit: That said, I've no interest in dating sim elements in-game.

Didn't they pretty HEAVILY imply that Haurchefaunt wanted to jump you at several points of the ARR and HW stories? I'm also pretty sure Aymeric has some pretty heavy subtext in that department as well.

I'll be honest, as the WoL, pretty much none of the Scions are even remotely good enough for me.

Alphinaud -- Not just no, but hells no. Do not want. You-know-who can have him.

Alisaie -- She stole my spotlight in the Warriors of Darkness battle. Unforgivable. I'm not your Spirit Sword fodder! Besides Future Trunks does it better...

Thancredge... err Thancred -- With his new look he comes off as going through some kind of mid-life crisis and is compensating for something. The magic's just not there anymore.

Y'shtola -- No real problems with her, but I don't think either of us can see it happening.

Urianger -- He tends to hang with a questionable crowd when he thinks I'm not looking. Also, kinda creeped by the idea of him having a doll of me...

Lyse -- I just don't know who you are anymore!

Tataru -- Oh, you give Lyse fanservice clothes, but not me? You think I'm fat or something!?
