If you look at the example above you'll noticed something funny. Post 4.05's patch. You will almost never get above 80 Heat unless you start holding Cooldowns 20 seconds out. So How do we Overheat? Oh yes, we need to Flamethrower. Well we already know Flamethrower is a huge DPS lost, but now we need to do it to even get close to Overheating.
So if by some stroke of luck we are at 80 Heat when we decide to Overheat for Wildfire, we merely miss a GCD and potentially an Auto Attack to get to Over Heat.
~230 Potency for the GCD, and 100 for Auto Attack, Minus 120 for the two ticks of Flamethrower is upwards of 110 Potency lost just getting into Overheating, and thats the best case.
230 - 120 = 110
Now what if you are at 70~75 Heat.
230 Potency for the GCD + 115 for the Clipped GCD + 100 for the Auto Attack - 180 for the Flamethrower ticks.
230 + 115 + 100 - 180 = upwards of 275 Potency lost, just getting into Overheat.
60~65 heat
230 For the first GCD, 230 for the Second GCD 100 for the for the First AA and 50 for the AA Clipping you'll do.
230 + 230 + 100 + 50 - 240 = Upwards of 370 Potency lost to get into Overheating.
Barrel Stabilizer changes are kinda pointless when they made getting into Overheat so much harder.
Of course, we can just stop using Cooldown and that might make it a bit easier to get into Overheating, but at that point, we're looking at maybe one Cooldown maybe 2 a minute? Far less than we were doing Pre 4.05
