easy gil. Just post on pf that ur selling tomes that people can use to buy mats. For the last year on lamia people have been paying 1 mil for 2000 tomes. They tell u what items to get them then u trade them the items for the gil. U can make more gil selling individually on the mb but that takes longer. This is a common gil maker. Also if u ever get minion drops that are tradable they usually sell for a good amount. These do work. When i have nothing to spend tomes on ill do the first one, but noone will tell u there main way to get gil. We dont want competition. But u study the mb and play it right u can do well. If u do the research and work ull get profit

I'll keep this very brief, but look at the gathered materials for housing furniture, good example of this would be Potter's Clay (EDIT: Can get from ALC guild, so could flip it on the MB), it might be cheap in price at the moment, but I'm sure it'll rise significantly when Shirogane pops; so this may be worth stockpiling until the patch hits, and non-housing items such as Effervescent water, which is used in Twinthread (Lv 68), and Silver Ore, used in Durium Nuggets (Lv 640. Of course I can't guarantee these will sell at the best price, but it should give an idea of some of the items to look out for.
When you get to Level 41+ you can take a look at Raw Amber which is used for Varnish, a material used in a lot of Zelkova accessories.
A bit off the area of mining, but not sure if you know but if you have Poetics you can trade those in at Idyllshire for the unidentified Ore, then trade those for G3 Topsoil

Depending upon the market on your world, crafting, or gathering crafting mats is the way to earn gil. I've made over 60 million just on glamour prisms. If you don't like crafting, go kill gigantoads for their skins, kill the black sheep near Dragonhead for fleece, kill diremites for their webs. all of these things sell well as they have more than one use in crafting. If you start mining or botany find out which mats sell on your server and go get them! Silver ore is a good seller yet is only a lvl 20-25 node.

Try not to "spam" the mb with your single items. Keep it down to around 2-3 entries, i.e. don't post duplicates. If you craft and end up with 10 pieces of say, armor, posting all 10 at once might backfire and turn into a constant undercutting war.
