Can we talk about the Music?

Apart from the same theme reused like 20 times everywhere, some new music are pretty nice indeed. But really not much work this time, a lot of old music are reused, nothing to praise Soken about.

I noticed this in HW too. Mor Dhona has its own version of the battle theme, so does Thanalan, so does La Noscea, so does Black Shroud. It was separated by "county" (for lack of a better term, consider La Noscea to be a county, and Black Shroud to be another). I'd wished that in HW, Coerthas Western Highlands had the same battle theme as CCH (because same county), then Dravania got its own theme, and Abalathia's Spine. Then in Stormblood, done the same for Gya Abania and Othard. I feel it would have helped give each county an overlying identity.

For HW: Dravania could have used the current HW battle theme, with Abalathia getting its own.
For SB: Gyr Abania could have used the current SB battle theme, with Othard getting its own more eastern sounding battle theme.

Can we get a toggle to disable combat and FATE music? I want to enjoy the zone music score while gathering. Not listening to this peace-battle!-peace-battle!-F.A.T.E.-peace-battle!-peace-F.A.T.E.-peace-F.A.T.E.-peace-battle! kind of listening experience.

I know you're all proud of what you've done with the music and want us to hear it all, but no matter what music there will always be a time when it's not appropriate. I turn off all sound and effects now when gathering and play my own music because at least my music don't jump tracks from a symphony into techno then back to symphony all the time.

I am indifferent.

Some of the tracks are pretty nice, specifically the Kugane night theme..

However the battle music makes me want to bash my head in. I really wish they would let us toggle battle music off, just like they allowed us to turn off mount music.
