Healers dont Heal since they can also do damage now.

I've had some healers like this in pvp, although shockingly I've had fairly good healers that actually prioritize healing. I don't think it was bad to give healers a little bit of a means to defend themselves tho. No matter before or after the changes there are always healers that don't heal. That exists in pvp and pve.

They were referring to in pvp where cleric wasn't available. they weren't talking about in dungeons or raids.

Seriously, why is everyone talking about PVE?

Anyway, I play PVP healer because I like to heal. If I'm killing people rather than healing my team, it's because my team are running around like idiots, LOSing me rather than the enemy repeatedly, impossible to save anyway (guys, you cannot tank both entire enemy teams at once, learn to pull out please), failing to kill anyone on their own, or half the map away from any logical objective, completely tunnelvisioned on killing blows. It's also important to note that I cannot run and heal simultaneously aside from the occasional Benediction, so if you keep running out of my range I'll find better things to do with my cast times than chasing you desperately hoping my cooldown buffs become available in time :(

I get so frustrated trying to heal 'unhealable' people in Shatter sometimes. Before the Cleric Stance removal, sometimes I would just switch to BLM and go kill things partway through the match if I felt I was wasting my time even though we had far better healing tools back then, and sometimes I just go to take objectives with a couple of sensible people rather than wasting all of my MP being baited by my own team into going too deep into the enemy teams. If you play carefully and there are enough healers to cope with demand, I'm sure you'll get healed more. If they remove healer damage I'll just switch jobs like I used to. Experienced DPS/tanks are an absolute joy to heal in PVP; suicidal lemmings are not.

As for individual bad healers, sure, they exist. I don't think removing our DPS options will change that.

Yes, I am bitter. I'm bitter about being called out as a healer for not DPSing when the tank is chainpulling until the instance cannot physically let him past. We have always been able to do damage. oops never seen that it was pvp lol. So used the normal whiney PVE threads on healers dpsing.

The Damage in PvP was always so low that it was just a waste of Mana. With the skillrework in PVP they actually do damage.

PvP is the only place where healer are asked to hea onlyl. Evenwith their damage increased, it is still inefficient. Only time I use stone is to slow someone fleeing. I can't remember how many time I died as DPS just because my healer was dpsing, and I can't remember how many times I was solo healing an entire party and saw them die because my co healers think that doing 10% of the damage of a dps worth loosing 10 pt.

Only exception now is SCH and even that is under conditions and it's much more efficient in feast.
