Thanks for the comment Theo... wish I could have written more but had some pressing matters to attend to. This was how I used to write feedback to the Dev team on the Alpha and Beta test forums back in the day, critical-thought analyzing and giving humble cognitive suggestions where possible.
Allow me to call attention to something that many people overlook... watch the 1.0 ending calamity cutscene again and particularly notice the scene where Derplander's helm is knocked off...the rest of the team converge to protect him. That very gesture is symbolic to how this game evolved: the high cost of Yoichi Wada's support, the mysterious project manager M Lalafell, Soken's music, the white-knight players... its all in there. Most importantly, the Devs always look to us to help them give us what we want in this game; but we have to first help them with solid feedback.
I rarely come to the forums anymore because its just filled with so much ridiculous toxicity and whinging... emphasis on the word "whinging". To whine is one thing but to whinge is to complain to an unreasonable extent. Sadly, that's what most of the forums have now succumbed to... complaints, rants, insults, negativity and yet barely any critical suggestions on how to fix the issue.
Back in 2009 and into 2013, I thoroughly loved the online forums that fans developed: FFXIVCore, ZAM, Eorzeapedia, Order of the Blue Gartr, Beyond Vanadiel and a few others. The online camaraderie back then was truly amazing (partially because it comprised of a majority of the first batch of interested players from the FFXI player base) and it was incredible fun developing concepts, theories, sketches and feedback to the Dev team. That's what made FFXIV 1.0 special for us because we watched the Dev team actively listen to us and gradually implemented our feedback into the game.
Till this day there are thousands of other FFXIV players who never say a single word on these forums yet continue to make FFXIV related art, music, role-play stories, lore analysis... name it. And this is one reason why when I do post comments, it's usually here in the lore section because this is where I mostly find other players with sharp minds who give solid feedback. For instance, here are just a few random examples of artwork done by fans:

Wicked innit? Almost humbling... and it exhibits how much people love this game, as do I.
Anyways, enough of my musings. Other things I forgot to ask the Dev team were:
- When will Gerolt's apprentice Drake finally evolve and come into his own? I would like to see some quests on this. A suggestion is that he could be instrumental in the next stage of relic quests... dunno, just a thought
- When can we also hope to see more quests surrounding the six epic Lalafell Coco-something brothers who are the masters of the Thaumartarge Guild? I've been looking forward to this since 1.0 but still nothing. I loved the end of that story arc and honestly wish to know how the youngest is now coping.
- Will we ever get to participate in the Limsa Trident races? Will our beloved Merlwyb ever get challenged and then we are involved in a series of quests to help her win the Trident? (Or something along those lines).
Anyway, keep up the great work Dev Team... keep pushing!
