Yeah just feels weird not using it in runs now.
I got to agree. I used Flaming Arrow a lot when we had big pulls. Also, I miss Rain of Death's dot effect that it had before 4.0. I don't understand why se has to break stuff that wasn't broken in the first place.
Unpopular opinion, but I'm not sad to see it go. I hated placing it, and I hated having to otherwise use a macro. I hated figuring out which bosses would the macro fail on, because I was so accustomed to using it. Just a personal problem, but I felt a bit too slow when placing it. I also no longer have to deal with the frustration of the tank moving the mobs out of it, despite giving them plenty of time to position things. I honestly feel like bard is in a great place AoE-wise anyway. RoD procs more, and the other songs are actually quite good for AoE situations, too. The longer DoTs are a huge boon as well. So I really don't miss this skill too much.
Don't really know why they would never use Flaming Arrow but most of the time it was just because they focus more on their basic skills of maintaining the DoT on the enemy with Venomous, Windbite, Straight shot, Empyreal, Jaws, Sidewinder and Heavy Shot.
I can only guess Flaming Arrow was such a minor damage AoE DoT thing they just ignored it to maintain their already muscle memory combos.
I have mixed feelings about Flame Arrow. For one, I kinda do miss using it during large mob pulls. On the other hand, nothing was more frustrating than actually taking in the effort to stop my rotations just to place a Flame Arrow during a boss fight, only for the tank to immediately move and tank the boss somewhere else, so it's nice having one less thing to worry about in my rotations.
Wide Volley though, I admit, is something that I will miss. I agree that Quick Nock was the AoE skill that should've been removed, but I guess I can live without Wide Volley. Other than that, I am completely in love with 4.0 BRD.
