Yellow Scrip gear

The scrip gear isn't worth it. Each piece requires quite a number of turn ins and strangely enough, you'd likely be turning in pieces from the i290 set over and over or battle gear of equivalent difficulty.

It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense as you'd already have the ability to make the crafted set anyways and the cost of materials for the turn ins will likely far exceed the minimal materia melds required to at least match the scrip set.

When I saw the amount of yellow scrips you need for MH I died and came back and died and comeback again to post this lol

Does Yellow beat current i290 gear? I melded CP across the set atm

no..the HQ white can easily be melded to be better than the yellow. I really don't know who the yellow is for...it takes just as much effort to make collectables to by the scrip gear as it would be to farm grade V materia (via red scrip) and meld the HQ white.

All the HQ white set needs to be better than the entire Scrip set is CP melds, not really any overmelding needed.

But... that's I good thing, right? I mean, if the yellow gear is the best that will kill the market for certain DoL and devalue materia.

No. The AF gear is completely worthless. Only the MH has any value, and that's only if you don't intend to meld much.

Let's not forget that the "true" AF gear from heavensward came with the Gordias Savage patch. In two weeks time, the crafted AF gear will probably show up, within the books.

I'm personally grabbing the MH and overmelding my lvl70 HQ set so I can at least be ready to craft my own AF set when they come out.

What set was that exactly? Was it a set to be used between all crafting jobs or were there different sets specific to each individual crafting job? I forget. Thank you :)
