I moved from Balmung and don't regret it. Even when I made a new character, I was so amazed at the abundance of people running around the usually quiet low level areas. Best of all, the server is what we will make it. We have an awesome opportunity I think. n.n
World seems to be doing well. Moved From Ragnarok with some friends, plenty of housing still up while the other new server, Omega, is now stuffed and queued.
I think tons of FC's planned to migrate to Omega as it was the known and expected new server, and now they've crammed it and hogged all the housing plots. Louisoix was dropped unannounced and those big FC's were already committed to Omega and not in a position to jump to Louisoix. End result is less dominant FC's in place, lots more real newbies on Louisoix!
I transferred yesterday from Cerberus to here and I got the 10 gold feathers so that is a yes Miluiel
Yeah, the 3 hour queues did me. I mean when you are on a time schedule, waiting so long and then rinse repeat if you get booted. Not feasible for me so I figured I would rather be able to get in the game than sat staring at a queue. Don't get me wrong, I like balmung as I'm into role-playing, but can't rp if you can't log in lol
And bonus I finally got a house \o/
I think I'd make an alt 1st on Louisoix, then if I like it hand money and resources to a secondary char on Balmung and move them over for a house etc, while holding down the turf with the main still on Balmung. Can always level up fresh on Louisoix, fast enough with the double XP.
Started fresh on this world for Stormblood so that I could re-learn tanking from the ground up and experience the story again. So far the world is filled with new players. Leveling areas are lively, energetic. It's refreshing, honestly. The exp boost is great too; I have yet to hit a level lock-out.
Make an alt here, as Dagget suggested, and get a feel for the world. I'm sure you'll love it.
That's what I did. Made an alt and was really chuffed. I still have characters on Balmung and one of which used to be my other main. I felt moving my current main was worth it as I like the world and all its potential when it comes to the community aspect. But yeah, good advice for anyone curious about the server. Make an alt and check it out. We have cookies!
