So Ixion is fun [Spoilers: lol jk]

i was finally able to see it for first time (and waited today more then 5hrs) and got nothing :(
We were at most 4 in group but because of the amount of lag i was having trouble trying to invite people and staying alive
This fate is NOT at all worth the time wasted

This is why instances are back (Back on my server at least, Lich). Even with our low pop server, everything crashes when it spawns at a 'normal' hour. The thing is now, more and more people are getting the mount. As such, less and less people need/want to do the FATE, which makes less people coming and which makes the remaining people 'less' crash. Of course this only happens on small pop servers for now but I believe it will soon happen to higher pop server (?)
(= more instances -> more spawns -> more people getting the mount -> less crash!)

But... ok... servers need some improvement ! :|

Saw this FATE some five times now, I think - 3 bronzes, 2 creditless DCs.
Couple of times could not even enter the instance and did not participate :P

This doesn't even count for my "rez random players" achievemt because I lag so bad the spells don't even go off lmfao

So the devs didn't (or did they?) anticipate this issue would come up?

Yeah okay, I get that this whole temporary layer bullshit was supposed to alleviate load issues. But if everyone loads into the same layer, is it really helping? And why even implement this fate in the first place? Who is the genius dev planning stuff like this that just invite problems?

Honestly, they need to reduce the amount of effort needed to get the Ixion mount. Either that or make sure super important fates like Odin,Behemoth, and Ixion give off a server-wide message indicating their fate is up.

Because people kept asking for more open world stuff. Then when we get it we complain people are gathering in the open world areas to do the things.

I don't think that's fair to put the blame on people asking for open world content. No one asks for something hoping it gets implemented poorly. There are plenty of games out there that do open world boss fights just fine, so the people asking for these to be added to XIV probably didn't think they were requesting an impossible mission.
