Yes, but it's still a grammatical oddity that... just seems off.

I get where people are getting the idea from, but, uh... just call the damn thing Bloodstorm then? If you want to convey the storm of blood idea, that would be the appropriate name. It's like in Palace of the Dead: Palace Gremlin and Gremlin Palace are two veeery different things.
The first noun describes the latter. In japanese, it would be like turning Yatsurugi no Yuki into Yuki no Yatsurugi. It drives me nuts!

According to Koji's fanfest slides Bloodstorm was one of the original ideas for the English title. Apparently there were copyright issues, so they had to come up with something else.
