All I can say after finishing the story a minute ago, and I'm in fucking tears...

How the hell are the devs ever going to top this?

Meracydia's had as many name-drops as Doma and Ala Mhigo and we've not been there. So much so that I was surprised we went to Doma first.

As for Ala Mhigo, both Mor Dhona and Idyllshire were updated bit by bit during ARR's and HW's patch cycle's, respectively. Is anything preventing SE from doing the same to Ala Mhigo? At least beyond keeping players out of the rebuilt zone until a certain story beat?

Personally, I doubt they will updated The Lochs. Rhalgr's Reach will likely be the new Ala Mhigan capital and built up as Idyllshire was. The town outside Doma castle may get built up, but I doubt it.
Time will tell I suppose.... we have two years of updates ahead now.

I've been wondering about this for some time now. In ARR and in HW we had pretty clear foreshadows of what was going to happen next in the history, in ARR we had the ascian ploting stuff, and in HW we had Nidhogg rebirt and the warrior of darkness. Now we have pretty much nothing, Fordola is imprisoned and it would not make a lot of sense to make her an enemy now, yotsuyu is probably going down the redemption path and Varis does not seem to be giving two shits about his son death. So yeah... I have no idea what is going to happen next, maybe elidibus will manipulate Varis into doing something or Fordola will be portrayed as a hypocrite that only cared about power from the very beginning and covered it with some shit about freeing as many ala mighans as she could in her way?

I just really want them to build a story arch around how we, the warrior of light, have become so powerful. Thordan saw it, Zenos saw it..... It has to be coming.... I hope it is at least.

I want to find Yotsuya ASAP and get her to introduce me to her tailor because by the twelve I want her clothes! Oh and I guess seeing Gosetsu again would be nice... (give me my Yotsuya glamour already).

The sad part is that we probably will never see the real Doma or Ala Mhigo in game.

I agree this time we don't have a great foreshadowing of thiongs to come, however I think Varis' answer to us for killing is son will come soonish, maybe not how we would expect it considering the contempt shown for him in the ending
