No idea. My fishing isn't into SB yet. But I have him grinding away at lower level items that I don't want to waste the time getting myself that I use for a ton of my crafts. It eliminates grinding and a good bit of RNG even if they can't get everything.Quote:

If however you have the standard 2 retainers I would not advise you to make one of them a FSH
The types of fish the retainer can bring back is extremely limited compared to what you can catch. At least, it was up until 4.0.
It just wasn't providing enough value or convenience, compared to what others do.
SE really needs to put all the standard fish we can catch on the retainer. It's not fair that other gathering retainers can get most things but Fishing can't.
No, not really. Outside of randomly needing some kind of coral because leveling a new job and maybe the odd HW catch, it's really not worth. I'm basically paying for extra storage and a source of more Quick Exploration ventures which has yielded some baller stuff, but for things that FSH can get, not really.
