Suggestion: Make Kudzu Robe of Crafting/Coat of Gathering wearable on all classes

What they need to do, is remove class restrictions on Glamour ENTIRELY. Their single paper-thin excuse long ago (tanks need to look like tanks! healers need to look like healers! or people will get confuuuuused!) became BS the moment they added glamourable bikinis.

Class restrictions makes glamour more difficult for players, likely makes implementing them more complex to program, and just generally has no redeeming value whatsoever. Get rid of them!

Redirected to this thread as I currently hold this sentiment, playing as Himaa and not being able to wear the tribe gear is depressing, so I support OP

Also, let's not forget our wonderful friend Lost Allagan...a design based off a design from a contest for tank gear...now giving us tank themed gear for every job lol

I agree with you on battle-classes but not with DoH.
The DoH sets are so nice but since I'm using an omni set most of the time and need to pentameld, I never bother making them. Besides the tools, there was nothing to distinguish a Culinarian from a Weaver in HW and there is nothing to distinguish us in SB. Crafters all look the same no matter what class they are, and unless the system becomes more flexible, we will always look the same.
It's a huge waste of resources designing lovely, class-specific gearsets that hardly anybody is able to use. That's why I support making an exception for DoH (and possibly DoL). I'd like to look more individual, and I'd like to get some use out of the AF crafting sets and see other people using them, too.

I also support the OP, it's a real shame the Kudzu gathering and crafting sets are locked.

All they need to do is to keep the restriction on battle classes actually equipping the gear, but remove the restriction to glamour it.

That way they avoid people spiritbonding DOL/DOH gear on battle classes while at the same time letting people glamour them. Boom problem solved!

To me, the uniqueness of the AF sets for DoH is every bit as important as for the DoW/DoM sets. If anything, there is even less reason for unlocking them, since although you (like most) don't bother glamouring them to a pentamelded omni set, at least it's possible without gimping your other classes. It's on DoW/DoM that acquiring multiple top end sets to glamour differently is rarely possible due to the "Unique" tag on most of them.

I'm just level 50, but am pentamelding multiple level 50 Artisan's sets to glamour as different AF sets. (I don't have all eight covered yet, but have a couple aprons and several of the pants, gloves, and shoes. And I have all of the AF pieces.) When I'm on a class I don't have an Artisan set dedicated to yet, I might either use my more generic Artisan set if doing particularly hard recipes, or wear its AF directly if making easier recipes. I know not many people bother doing it this way, but at least it's possible. And just making an extra one or two top-end pentamelded sets to glamour a couple of your favorite or most used DoH classes' AF to isn't that unreasonable.

I agree here. Though I want DoH/DoL's AF sets preserved, they have a lot of other sets, including the Kudzu ones that started this thread, that could be unlocked for glamouring on any class/job. I'd like it if that were opened up.

Almost nobody does that though, makes individual sets. And what about when you leave level 50 behind? You have three class-locked sets of crafter/gatherer AF at 70 (ignoring all of the variants) and I think it would at least be fair to let us use the outdated pre-SB ones on all jobs because literally nobody is going to walk around with 33 different sets of glamour dedicated solely to crafter/gatherer exclusives. They're some of the rarest glamours in the entire game because nobody ever sees them outside of the current endgame hubs where people sit and grind scrips. I've never seen people wearing most of them. Ever. I don't even know whether there are any gender variations for the female versions because I've never seen them used.

As I said above, "I know not many people bother doing it this way, but at least it's possible." The point is that with DoW/DoM sets it's not even possible, whereas with DoH/DoL it is. (And it's only doing it for all eight classes that's unusual. Picking a favorite or two to use AF is simple.)

So there's a possible argument that unlocking DoW/DoM AF would make glamouring it on the appropriate job (along with related ones) more feasible. But that argument doesn't even apply when talking about DoH/DoL, where you can already glamour their AF without sacrificing stats to do so. So, if any AF were to be unlocked (which as I said, I'm against anyway), then DoW/DoM AF should be unlocked before DoH/DoL is. With DoW/DoM AF there would at least be a purpose for doing so, whereas for DoH/DoL, there's not.

Personally, I'm still supporting the requests that SE change the glamour system enough to allow multiple classes/jobs to use different glamour even while sharing the same gear. That would be a much better solution to the issue with lack of AF glamour, for both combat and crafting, than unlocking it is. (Technically harder, no doubt, but worth it.)

And even more DoW/DoM exclusives. As you reach the levels to unlock more of them, you get a wider choice in deciding which you like best. All gear is like that, so I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make about it. You still have the same number of classes to outfit.

And how many do you think would use all 33 of those if they weren't exclusive? You can still only wear one outfit at any given time. In either case, people can quite reasonably get and use a few of their favorites. You wouldn't be getting access to anything you can't use now.

Your inventory is going to die a horrible death if you continue with that, do not do this, it is an extreme waste of time and resources. Just level like normal using artisan's and get to the next crafted set, you're really going to hurt yourself doing it any other way.

I think he's aware of that, he just wants the other glamours. Seems to enjoy it so why stop him?
