I'm concerned about this actually. Dispite playing everyday if I can't enter my house how can I reset it? I tried for an hour yesterday and I log on today still can't get in :/ I understand I'm on Balmung I'm not complaining about queues or whatever but if I can't get in my house and it gets demolished SE will have Pariselle Savage on there hands :/
If that is your concern, try entering NA prime hours, like starting at 2 PST, this is only an issue off prime hours because that is when you have the mass afk. Me and my friends always had some point in the day since SB to enter the house, it is just keeps getting harder and harder to enter NA morning.
I think the devs should turn off the housing servers on Balmung 1 time each day to clean up the area.
The problem is being addressed, right here: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...2360440abe9651
I can understand those ppl staying online because after getting home from work an wait 2-4HRs to get in an say good night an go to bed is really unfair, this is something that was able to be avoided but the company never close Balmung transfer because of those sweet delicious $$$$ transfer fee that lot of ppl did for many years, now they got no solution but to offer free transfer to the player..(not only balmung but other servers too)
its not ppls fault but a greedy company, they got databse/numbers this was very predictable since 2.0 how many ppl a server can hold an not be a max capacity 24/7.
for now all i can do is remote access 3 hrs before home an hope that if i log in i dont get kick an be able to enjoy what i like to do in my free time.
I've been trying to report people I see that seem to be exploiting the game mechanics to avoid the afk kick...
Just this morning I happened to see someone on my friends list (:/) who appeared to be doing so...
Sent in a report, and they were offline shortly afterward.
At least, the GM's seem to be booting players that they're made aware of...
Reports don't work on the ones hiding in houses. :T
What SE needs to do is periodically refresh zones that have retainer bells in them, or the potential for retainer bells, so that it'll boot all the afkers hiding or otherwise.
active players and total characters on the server have little to do with the behavioral problem of exploiting the afk kick system
