Feedback on 4.0 Scholar

I'm playing scholar since 2.0 released, and to be honest I'm not as disappointed as everyone seems to be.

All our new skills are "niche" skills, just like in heavensward imo but that's what happens when the 2.0 toolkit from scholar was already that strong.

My main struggles right now are:

-dots potency: they are far too low, it's unbelievable that whm has better dots and a stronger nukes (not even speaking of AoE since in fights that really matter the aoe part is usually very small but our aoe sucks ofc).

-adloquium: Right now, adlo's potency is far too low, I'm at max gear for now and an adlo is barely 6k, which is really small compared to 40k cleaves boss can do. I'd like to see a change like this : 450 base potency and crit effect 150% instead of 200% which would allow us to get more reliable shields without making the crit mechanic too op.

-make the fairy scale on our gear cause she clearly is not.

I have been doing pug susano/lakshmi so far and seen no trouble in MP management even with deaths, I find it even easier than before. Also I kinda disagree about Selene, right now she feels like the superior fairy to me.

Overall I don't dislike the new skills or how the scholar plays right now, I just think buffing some potencies is necessary

Sch was the only healing class I enjoyed. Now I hate it. With the issues to que times and the sparce amount of healers compared to dps you would think they wouldn't alter one of three healers to be undesirable. Everyone was so worried about White Mage...

I just reached 70 on SCH, and I am usually nervous about sticking my head above the parapet, especially with salt that goes around here, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I love Excogitation, only have to keep half of an eye on my tank while that's up because of the free lustrate. Roused WD is still pretty good for most trash - with the proviso that some trash has moved upmarket, so suddenly plummeting HP is definitely a thing. I also enjoy that i have to manage my MP and AF stacks now, think about what's coming. Can i blow an Energy drain, should i keep it because there's a big AOE coming and I'll need Indom? Oh, but the timer's up, wheee! Haven't had chance to try Fey Union yet because bedtime - yeah, i know, I'm typing not sleeping - but it sounds potent on paper. So I'll see how that goes. But Largesse/Indomitability in Lakshmi & everyone on full HP makes me feel like I'm suddenly a White Mage lol. Also loving the feeling of party synergy there is now and not just with my co-healer

the issue is there is now nothing you can do that isnt done better by AST or WHM & done easier do too better MP efficiency

Just out of curiosity, you know Largesse doesn't have an effect on Indomitability, right? It works well with Emergency Tactics->Succor, though.

Lustrate, Indom, Excogitation, and fairy abilities are all independent of Largesse, which only effects Physick, Adloquium, and Succor.

-Revert the changes to Bane, so it operates back under the -10% for the second, -20% for the third, -30% for the fourth, -40% for the fifth, -50% for the remainder. Make Bane cost Mp even if it's major like 1.5k-3.5k Mp cost or something, give Bane a longer cooldown, make it cost two Aetherflow instead of one in order to revert it's damage nerf. Increase the potency on Gravity and Holy from 200 to 250-300 if that would help even out reverting Bane and/or prevent dungeons from allowing you to speed run and mass pull by having walls block you until you kill 2-5 enemies and then the path clears.

- Revert the Mp restored by Aetherflow to 20% (Remove Scholar's ability to take Lucid Dreaming and remove the trait Quickened Aetherflow. Even make Aetherflow a 70 second recast instead of sixty if that's what it takes to revert it's Mp restore.)

-Revert the change of Shadow Flare back to a GCD. Even if you lower the potency or duration of Shadow Flare, or even both in order to bring it back to GCD I'm fine with that even if it costs more Mp than before as well

-Buff Adloquium potency and/or the % of Hp restored it bases the shield off of, or reduce Aspected Benefic % of Hp restored it bases the shield created off of.

-Buff Succor potency and/or the % of the Hp restored it basses the shield off of, or reduce the Aspected Helios % of Hp restored it bases the shield off of.

-Buff Sacred Soil or nerf Collective Unconscious.

-Revert The Embrace fifty potency reduction, back to 300 instead of 250, even if it means keeping her rng spell speed buff gone.

-Buff Broil II and Malefic III to 250 Potency like Stone IV has, or reduce the potency of Stone IV.

-Rework Excogitation, as Scholar's find themselves even forgetting they have it. Lustrate only has fifty potency less and does roughly the same thing.

-Remove the fairy gauge for Scholar in PvP, it makes it to where 90% of the time you can't even have your pet out. And that defeats the purpose of Scholar.
