character customization in 4.0?

Are you on about level 70 gear or something?

I've only done the first two dungeon, and while the Level 61 dungeon gear is dyeable, the Level 63 dungeon gear is not. At least as far as casters (BLM/SMN/RDM) are concerned.

Ah, fair enough then. I've only done the first dungeon, saw the gear was dyeable and just assumed it would all be dyeable from here on out. That's what I get for trusting SE to do something cool!

I would be already happy about some new hair which is not gender neutral. More long and girly hairstyles.
And of course the hime cut which is badly needed, especially for this expansion, or at least unlock other races hairstyles for all races.

Seriously. T_T Your post got me so hopeful... why must they constantly shoot down my dreams.

I must admit that I was initially disappointed at the lack of anything related to character customization. I guess 3.0 spoiled me with a whole new race, haha. But anyway, now that the expansion has been released, I don't find myself missing the customization. I'm enjoying everything else way too much, and I'm actually happy with my current characters. Furthermore, I don't lose hope that we'll get more customization options in the future ^^

Maybe 5.0...I hope...

Yeah this disappointed me the most (next to no housing changes..) when it was said at the fanfests..really you added a new whole race in 3.0 yet somehow in 4.0 you are not even able to give us at least one new face option for each race, or at least a couple of hairstyles? The one sightly longer short hairstyle is alright but the really short one looks like a mess. Also no new face paints, tattoos or scars..you know, things people have wished for quite the time. Zones might look good/interesting but the thing you will see the most is your character so it would have been nice to see at least some customization.

And yes seeing all those re-used dungeon gear too feels bad..like its fine if these are in a patch since its mostly catch up gear..but I do want unique gear in a new expansion..and on top of that I only saw 1 Asian looking gear on the MB..while a lot of the NPCs are wearing the mog station set..is a simple dyeable kimono dress too much to ask?
