The issue is you get the same amount regardless of winning or losing. So people are purposely throwing matches because they don't care.

[QUOTE=Magic-Mal;4208523]Dang right I am. *I* want to level up through PvE content right now. Not PvP. And because of this change, I can't PvP at my own leisure without being OP for story.
"Without being OP for story"
I bet you're one of those people complaining about Jump Potions.. n complain when people tell you to DPS as a Healer
You already are OP for story. There's next to no challenge doing MSQ even if you are under-leveled and under geared (within reason of course). And all instances are level synced; you wont be "OP" here unless you turn it off in the DF.
I wouldn't complain if SE decided to make it optional, but 1st I would rather make it so you only get exp if you are 1st or 2nd. Or based on how far from actually winning (for example: getting 1590 points in shatter should yield some exp no matter if 3rd)
Just PvP on another job instead of your main one?
And before that people were throwing games for the easy lore. I recall one user shouting in alliance chat before stormbloods release ''The faster we feed, the faster we leave''. Remove the rewards, the incentive for many to even pvp goes away and then it dies or takes forever to get in whereas now it takes 5 minutes or less. The fastest pvp queues have ever been.
Even if you level up, most of the MSQ dungeons and stuff are synced down o.o
It scales at about the same rate PotD does. (I played both in sequence, on multiple jobs just to see)
That said, I'm seeing a spectacular rate of some kind of cheating or automated play going on. I won't divulge further info, but it's blatantly obvious, and I'm not sure if people are bothering to report them or just ignore it.
Perhaps the solution is only to hand out experience/tomes once per day like the roulette if people are just farming PvP for quick experience.
