It would be nice but it will never happen in this game with how adamant they are about healers not needing to DPS. I would be pleasantly shocked if they made a job like this in 14.

So it's kinda like using Bloodbath but giving the healing to party members instead of yourself? Sound kinda fun ^.^ I'd be down for that.
Although like others have said, it would probably be a nightmare to balance XD
Interesting idea considering the DPS potential WHM will have. Thin Air + Presence of Mind = Mouth Sex
I was thinking of writing up an idea similar to this for the Oracle. Using a combination of ideas from the Runemaster of LoTRO and the Chloromancer from RIFT (I'm not very familiar with WoW because I rather did not like it when I tried it out)
I don't want something as complex as Atonement. I just think they should remove Cleric Stance from the healer role pool, make it a passive buff for WHM and when its on (always) you heal nearby allies for say 20% of damage done. This would put more weight on WHM's already good personal DPS and give them more free time to contribute damage. Also perhaps tie in damaging skills with lilies.
Dancer from the final fantasy series has always felt like a damage healer to me. Maybe next expansion they could get abilities like the ones that Disc Priest and mist monk use in world of Warcraft. They can even make them similar to RDM jumping in and out of melee range.
So, what you are saying is you want a Dancer like FFXI with its Drain Samba?
Drain samba is one ability there are many ways a dancer type DPS healer can work.
