Oh that! You mean how the camera slowly adjusting itself to face what your character is facing when you move in said direction. Wait a minute.... Isn't this how it works in most video games? This annoys people?...... I'm not saying anyone shouldn't be, I'm just shocked that it does.
I would love to use legacy, but I can't stand the camera. I have a problem with not being able to pan while moving without turning my character, so I use standard. I don't know if it's quite the problem being discussed in this thread, but I think if they fix what you're talking about, my issue would be resolved as well. I hope the devs listen.
Hm, maybe I misunderstood the problem but I use always legacy-mode and I never had the problem that the camera would auto-adjust?
I just tested out-of-fight and in-fight: if I press "s" may char turns around and moves "towards" my screen, no camera adjustment at all.
Edit: Sry, I use mainly keyboard + mouse. I will test it on my PS4 too.
Some people dont mind it but some do. With as easy as a fix as it is, i dont see any reasob not to have the option
Bumping because I care and love s(^_-)b
i would grately love the ability for full camera and charecter seperate movement, though i love the legasy it makes it a pain when exploring or wanting to have a look at things, and the standerd my be nice for now and then situations the forced charecter lock on the direction i am looking is a pain.
the movement of legasy with a camera that isnt flying around would be a sweet releaf
I've taken to always using both of the controller's analog sticks whenever I move, controlling my movement with the left while holding the camera steady with the right, in order to prevent the auto-adjust. (When I actually want the camera to move around to behind my character, I'll move it there myself.)
That takes care of the problem, but at the cost of using both thumbs just to move. With instant skills, that should be able to be used while moving, I actually pause momentarily, just long enough to hit the button, and then resume my movement. Of course, that really brief pause is nothing like having to wait for a cast bar or anything, so it's rarely an issue, but it does make mobile jobs slightly less mobile.
Do devs ever acknowledge threads? Im going to keep this bumped because squeaky wheels get the oil and this is an easy wheel to fix :)
Definitely wish we had the option to toggle it off. Really annoying and hurts my eyes.
