I personally only used FXAA for a substitute for Transparent AA. There's some injectors of FXAA or SMAA but it's no where near the quality of true FXAA. There's also 3 different kinds of FXAA, each if a different blurring effect and process requirements. Those on AMD cards should know MLAA (AMD's version of FXAA) is available for FF14 via AMD catalyst.
I hope they will give us the option to use both MSAA/CSAA + FXAA in combination.
I tend to use CSAA8 + FXAA when possible. Skyrim and Battlefield 3 would be couple of games I know that allows this.
I just hope i can change it in game, and don't have to relog in each time to see how it looks.
